Where Are Your Halters Made?

Our halters are manufactured in our Central Kentucky leather shop located in the heart of Kentucky horse country. All Kentucky Bridleworks halters are fabricated by hand using methods and techniques developed over a century ago which have been in continuous use ever since. These halters are born from a local craft tradition that only exists in our corner of the world– like fine bourbon whiskey or the bluegrass landscape which famous Thoroughbreds freely roam. We produce one-of-a-kind halters that are as authentic as they are practical and unique. We are proud to have this opportunity to share them with you.

What Are Your Halters Made From?

We build each halter entirely by hand using only the finest materials. All of our products are fabricated from 100% premium American bridle leather. Our Brown Leather Halter features heavy-gauge, solid brass hardware, and our Black Leather Halter employs stainless steel hardware of the same quality and weight. High thread-count cotton lock stitching provides an extra measure of durability and style. It takes one hour of labor by hand to build each Kentucky Bridleworks halter. That’s why you’ll see “1H1H”— which stands for “One Hour One Halter”– proudly displayed on our website and products.

What Size Are Your Halters?

Our halters come in three standard sizes: Cob, Horse, and Oversize. A halter fit chart is available to guide you through the measurements for each option. Simply visit our website, click the red “See More” button, and then click the red “Details” button which appears to the left of the brown or black halter when you scroll on (or near) their image. The “Details” prompt will take you to the Product Description page on our site. Just above the Product Description at the bottom of the page, you will see a tab for “Halter Sizing Chart”. Click that tab, and the halter size chart will appear. We have also embedded a link here.

What Is The Shipping Cost?

All halters are shipped free of charge by ground within the continental US. For orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or international orders, please contact us for a quote. Standard orders are shipped within 3-5 business days. You may choose Overnight or 2nd Day shipping at the time of check out for an additional charge. Rates for Next Day and 2nd Day shipping are calculated based on the number of items purchased and their destination. We will confirm your order has been sent and provide tracking information via email. If you have questions about our shipping policies and procedures, please contact us, and we will be glad to assist you.

Can You Return It?

Each Kentucky Bridleworks halter is backed by an unconditional, money-back guarantee if returned within 30 days of the date of purchase and up to one year free repair for any defect in materials or construction. One thing we say around the shop is that pictures truly cannot do our halters justice. When you lift your halter from its box for the first time, you’ll be amazed by the quality of its workmanship and materials. If for any reason you are not satisfied, simply return it to us, and we’ll refund your purchase.

Can You Customize It?

Each Kentucky Bridleworks halter may be fitted with a solid brass or polished chrome nameplate. We can engrave each plate with one or two lines of up to 24 characters per line. Our nameplates are attached by hand using copper rivets for a unique, authentic look. See our video for more details on the process by which our halters and nameplates are fabricated.
